Kevin Ackerman – Costume Designer & Wardrobe Specialist

Kevin Ackerman is a Los Angeles–based costume designer and wardrobe professional with over two decades of experience across studio operations, feature films, theater, fashion, and live performance. His career bridges the creative artistry of costume design and the technical precision of studio wardrobe management, making him uniquely skilled at bringing characters and worlds to life both on screen and behind the scenes.

For nearly 20 years, Kevin worked in the costume departments of Warner Bros. Studios, Walt Disney Studios, and ABC Studios, where he specialized in sorting, archiving, and preserving extensive wardrobe collections. At Warner Bros., he developed innovative systems that increased restock efficiency by more than 35%, earning the Warner Bros. Idea Award for his forward-thinking AI Costume Lab proposal. His expertise also extends to textile conservation, precision stain removal for historic Golden Age costumes, and the design of public-facing displays for the Warner Bros. Studio Tour. Kevin’s styling work has been featured on studio social media platforms and at executive events, where he has dressed and styled high-profile clients.

As a costume designer, Kevin’s credits span feature films, independent shorts, national tours, and web media. His projects include Wind River, Black Cadillac, and Alone in the Dark II, as well as the Sundance Film Festival Official Selection Rite. Kevin has also designed for celebrated stage productions, including Baal at Sacred Fools Theatre and two touring productions with Joe Bologna and Renée Taylor.
